Adventure Weekly Recap (AWR) is a new post I’ll be bringing to you my readers.  The goal is to bring you cool stories, offers, blogs, news, and more from around the bike, outdoor, and general adventure worlds.

Give Ibex’s “Hat-O-Matic” a try when doing your holiday shopping.  Also checkout their new store in University Village.  2627 NE University Village St, Seattle, WA 98105

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance for years has been leading the fight for trail advocacy.  They need to raise $30,600 by Dec. 31. 2012 so they can continue to fully fund their advocacy, trails and education programs in 2013.  If you ride a bike in WA then you should help with whatever you can.

American Hiking Society is having an auction.  Please bid generously on more than 125 packages — all proceeds will benefit trails. Watch for new items to be posted in our store as the auction continues through early Dec!

I’ve never met “DOOM” as he’s known but I love to read about his adventures.  He embodies so many great qualities I myself find worthy.  Check out this blog post about his latest climbing/rafting trips, The Fowler Tour.  Doom does everything from riding, rafting, climbing to sew.  I’m sure there’s more but if you read just one of his posts you’ll see what I see, a serious adventurer.

Francis Tapon is a world travel who is “Harvard MBA who left the tech world in 2006 to pursue a more fulfilling mission: visit every country in the world and share their unique lessons with whoever gives a crap.”  His latest book is called “The Hidden Europe“.  You can read some reviews here.  In this book he explores Eastern Europe bringing  you rare finds, stories, and locations you won’t find in other travel books.

Get out there!
