Leisurely Walk, No Run
So it appears I hurt my foot on yesterdays 9 miler. It didn’t hurt at all during or even after the run but when I woke up it hurt. It’s not a sharp pain but a dull one. Today I played a round of disc golf and that was enough to make it more sore. Below is yesterdays run:
If you click on the map you can see more data, including the elevation profile.
During yesterdays run I heard a barred owl, just like the one I saw Tuesday night. For those who don’t know what they sound like listen Barred Owl . (note the owl says “who, who cooks, who cooks for you”)
My golf game went okay. I was even after 9 holes but as normal the back 9 holes at North Seatac are really tough and I ended up 14 over! It was just nice to get out and enjoy the day so I wasn’t too worried about my score for once. When I got home I did some computer work before going to Seward Park for a walk. Usually I’m going there to run at night so I brought along my binoculars to look at the ducks. It would prove to be a smart move. I saw the following:
As you can see it was a productive walk. Unfortunately I got a late start and as a result I didn’t have light for long. I hope the foot is better by Tuesday to run again. For now I’ll ice it and take it easy.
What did you do this weekend, care to share?

I’m sorry you’re hurt! I hope you are back to normal now and all is well. I’m learning to listen to my body more and although I don’t always want to listen – I think it is impactful to do so. I appreciate that you were able to get enjoyment from you walk and make the most of it!
Listening to one’s self is tough. It’s actually the subject of one of my upcoming posts. The foot isn’t better yet so I took yet another night off. Part of it was just being tired/lazy. I justify it since it’s a rest week anyway.
Yo Scaterino- the map isn’t showing up on my end…
Yeah, switching from normal to HTML mode I lost the map. I’ll get it up tonight. Thanks
