Most of last ski season, I used two sets of gloves. On cold days, I used the Ibex Kilometer II Glove. I ordered the Kilometer II’s without ever seeing them or trying a pair on. It wasn’t surprised when they fit perfectly and lived up to their description from the Ibex site.

The weather-resistant stretch nylon shell does a great job keeping you dry by not absorbing moisture. They are not bulky  so dexterity is not compromised. I’ve washed them many times already and they have held up great. They dry quickly and the merino wool liner keeps odors at bay.  They do not smell, even after hours of skate skiing. They also keep me warm as the temperature rises and I sweat through them.

The gloves come in four sizes: small, medium, large, and extra large.

The Facts:

The Kilometer II’s are one of Ibex’s warmer gloves.

  • Lightweight weather-resistant shell
  • Midweight interlock Merino lining
  • Synthetic suede palm
  • Terry cloth nosewipe
  • Comfortable ribbed cuff blocks drafts
  • Glove clips so you don’t lose them
  • Rubber Ibex logos on palm & finger times for added grip

What Ibex has to say about the Kilometer II:

We haven’t forgotten your extremities, and you shouldn’t, either. Wool style, performance and beauty doesn’t stop at your wrists…… -Ibex

Pros & Cons:  The Pros, well there’s many: fit, comfort, warmth, and dexterity.  Most of all they’re made of wool and if you don’t know it then you should,  wool keeps you warmer even when wet.  Cons:  At times they’re too warm for me but that is more my issue not picking the right glove for the conditions.  Other than that maybe one could argue about the price tag.  Though with the quality you’re getting you shouldn’t.

Overall: I love these gloves. They’re warm, comfortable, have plenty of dexterity, and don’t hold smell. You can’t go wrong with the Ibex Kilometer II Glove.  I don’t leave the house without them.
