My Favorite Links, 8/13

TrailPlace.com -Is one of the best places to go as an aspiring Appalachian Trail hiker.  You’ll find everything you need to know about hiking the trail.  The forum is especially helpful, just ask a question and you’ll be surprised at how many people reach out to help.

Feathered Friends -Seattle’s only place to get high quality down gear and bedding.  They also carry other top brands in their store that live up to high standards one expects from good gear.  If your looking for the best stop in and see the gang at Feathered Friends.

Backpacking Light -If your into ultralite hiking then you probably already know about these guys, if not then allow me to open your eyes to the possibilities.  These guys/gals know how to go light, and I mean Lite!  There is no better place for ultralite gear, news, reviews, or instruction.

Northern Forest Canoe Trail -This one is not a hike, ride or run but something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.  It’s a 740 mile canoe trail with 22 rivers and streams, 56 lakes and ponds, and 62 portages, totaling 55 miles.  I can’t think of a better way to spend a few months than this.
